About the role:

With pleasure, Hays HR is helping a Newcastle Upon Tyne-based company fill a temporary position for an HR Advisor. The position is subject to a six-month maximum term and will be reviewed in March 2024. You will work closely with the HR Business Partners as a vital member of the larger HR team, supporting and occasionally leading a variety of HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supporting the company’s overall recruitment efforts
2. Serving as the main point of contact for HR questions from employees and providing support
3. Providing managers with advice on hiring practices and employment laws
4. Supporting a range of HR projects
5. Supervising grievance and disciplinary processes, advising supervisors and assisting with inquiries
6. Producing reports and supervising data administration in the HR system.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have the following credentials and experiences:

1. Prior experience working as an HR generalist
2. Ability to influence and cultivate strong connections with stakeholders
3. A solid understanding of employment law;
4. Skillful handling of employee relations issues
5. A CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 certification, or a comparable level of experience-based expertise.
