About the Job:

You hunt for rich chances by moving with the dexterity of a ferocious predator across the world of business-to-business sales. We have an intriguing opening as a Business Development Manager, focused on our Public Sector customers inside Central Government, if you thrive in the role of the hunter. Driving cross-selling and new business growth within this industry will be your main goal.
You will work with Customer Success Managers to identify and pursue opportunities, lead virtual teams to secure new business agreements, and develop and implement account growth strategies for assigned clients. Your aim is to meet sales targets from assigned clients, generate and convert leads into orders, and develop customer propositions valued at over £250k. This entails obtaining internal approval for proposals and effectively presenting the proposal’s benefits to customers.

Important Requirements:

1. Proven track record of success in a highly competitive sales setting, exhibiting aptitude for locating, nurturing, and closing large, complex new sales opportunities within current or prospective clientele.
2. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain connections with senior decision-makers and important stakeholders in bigger client organizations in order to spur the creation of new revenue.
3. Thorough knowledge of and skill in sales and business procedures, with a track record of establishing and influencing business outcomes that are advantageous to Virgin Media O2 and clients alike.
4. A great deal of expertise and a proven track record of inspiring and managing cross-functional teams that are committed to exploring significant new business prospects.
5. Proven experience in contract management, including drafting and interpretation; in addition, a wealth of knowledge in negotiating and concluding significant contracts worth more than £500k.
6. Proven capacity to predict sales accurately by making efficient use of CRM software, especially Salesforce.
7. Essential experience in the field of central government, especially in the telecoms industry.
