Microsoft is seeking an ambitious professional to join their team as a Solution Area Specialist (SSP). Specifically, this full-time role offers a competitive base salary range of £42,600 to £61,200 a year and is based in London. Additionally, this position focuses on leading Microsoft’s AI Workforce strategy for upper major accounts.
About the Role
As a Solution Area Specialist, you will discover, qualify, and convert new leads while driving cloud consumption with customers. Furthermore, you will identify market needs, orchestrate deals across partner ecosystems, and position Microsoft’s innovative solutions against competitors. As a result, your work will empower major organizations to achieve digital transformation. Consequently, you will collaborate closely with internal technical teams and global black belts to deepen customer relationships and expand territory pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Conversion: Receive marketing leads and apply Microsoft’s sales process to qualify opportunities and determine strategic next steps.
Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with the One Commercial Partner ecosystem and local partners to cross-sell and up-sell Microsoft products, solutions, and services.
Competitive Strategy: Learn about direct competitors and work alongside global black belts to execute strategies that favor Microsoft solutions.
Pipeline & Portfolio Management: Manage territory pipelines, support portfolio planning, and participate in internal technical communities while completing required role certifications.
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Education: 2+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (or related field) combined with 1+ year of relevant technology sales/management experience.
Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering, alongside 2+ years of technical consulting, consultative selling, or business consulting experience.
Legal Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom (holding UK citizenship, a valid visa, or an eligible work permit).
