Lancaster University is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join their Philanthropy, Alumni and Supporter Engagement team as an Engagement Fundraising Officer. Specifically, this maternity cover position offers a competitive salary ranging from £33,002 to £37,694 a year and is based on-site in Bailrigg, Lancaster.
About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will help deliver the university’s Annual Fund and Community Fundraising programmes. Furthermore, you will develop creative fundraising campaigns and communications designed to inspire alumni, local community members, and supporters. As a result, your efforts will drive vital philanthropic support, helping make a real, lasting difference for Lancaster University and its students. Consequently, you will work closely with colleagues across departments to build lasting supporter relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Delivery: Deliver Annual Fund and Community Fundraising programmes by designing creative fundraising campaigns and targeted communications.
Opportunity Identification: Collaborate with university colleagues to identify new fundraising opportunities and develop compelling, persuasive cases for support.
Supporter Stewardship: Build strong relationships with donors, contribute to comprehensive stewardship activities, and ensure all fundraising operations remain fully planned, effective, and compliant.
Candidate Requirements
Professional Background: Proven prior experience working within fundraising, supporter engagement, or a closely related relationship-management field. Therefore, a strong background in campaign execution is vital.
