BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is expanding its User Experience team and seeking an experienced, dynamic User Experience (UX) Designer. Based in London with a flexible hybrid working model (with consideration for both full-time and part-time applicants), this role offers the chance to design world-class digital solutions for secure government and national security customers.
About the Role
As a UX Designer, you will apply User-Centred Design (UCD) methodologies across all phases of delivery—from initial research through to implementation. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure seamless alignment between user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints while creating intuitive, accessible, and high-impact digital products.
Key Responsibilities
Design Solutions: Create user-friendly, innovative design solutions that address complex challenges using tools like Figma.
Prototyping & Concepts: Develop and present design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and visual deliverables.
User Research & Testing: Conduct and analyze user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing (e.g., user interviews, journey mapping) to inform design decisions.
Collaboration & Advocacy: Advocate for user needs, collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and consulting teams, and mentor junior staff.
Candidate Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field (preferred).
Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of user-centered design methods, exceptional analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, and proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma).
Clearance Requirement: Due to the nature of the secure government and national security work, successful candidates must hold an active Enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV) clearance prior to applying.
