Casual Fitness Instructor | SportsDock, University of East London

As a Casual Fitness Instructor at SportsDock, University of East London, I support the delivery of a safe, welcoming, and motivating fitness environment for students, staff, and community members. My role involves assisting gym users with exercise techniques, providing guidance on fitness equipment, promoting health and wellbeing, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

I actively engage with members to help them achieve their fitness goals, maintain high standards of customer service, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the fitness facilities. This position has strengthened my communication, customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while allowing me to apply my passion for fitness and health promotion.

Volunteered as a Fitness Instructor at the University of East London (SportsDock), supporting members in achieving their health and fitness goals by providing guidance on exercise techniques, gym equipment, and safe training practices. Assisted in maintaining a welcoming and inclusive fitness environment while promoting physical wellbeing across the university community.

In addition to my fitness instructor role, I actively volunteered at a variety of university events, including sports competitions, open days, health and wellbeing initiatives, student engagement activities, and community events. Responsibilities included event setup and coordination, welcoming participants, providing customer support, assisting with registrations, ensuring smooth event operations, and collaborating with staff and fellow volunteers.
