Programme Information & What We Offer

You will join our team as an active participant in the Investment20/20 one-year trainee programme. While we cannot guarantee a permanent position at the end of the 12-month contract, it is important to note that permanent employment is a distinct possibility if you perform exceptionally well and an open position is available. In fact, the Investment20/20 initiative is widely respected across the sector, and 75% of the 3,000 historical trainees have successfully transitioned into permanent roles.

Description of the Department & Key Responsibilities

This entry-level, development-focused role sits within the UK Project Management Team and aims to nurture the next generation of project leaders. Essentially, you will support the UK Project Portfolio, gaining valuable exposure across various workstreams. This year-long placement prepares you directly for future Project Management Office (PMO) roles through structured rotations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Project Support: Assisting PMOs across active workstreams, maintaining detailed project plans, tracking milestones, and monitoring critical dependencies.

  • Governance Administration: Helping to prepare RAID logs, governance packs, meeting minutes, and tracking emergent risks and issues.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Contributing to regular status updates, visual dashboards, and management information for key governance forums.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Scheduling and coordinating cross-functional meetings with internal business functions, support teams, and external partners.

  • Change Management: Supporting the creation of internal communications, corporate training materials, and change initiatives to enable smooth system adoption.

  • Financial Basics: Assisting with project budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning under direct senior supervision.

  • Learning & Rotation: Participating in planned rotations through core PMO activities, including planning, risk management, and reporting, while applying your skills to live projects.

Education, Skills, and Experience
