What’s the Role All About?
As a Quality Data Analyst Apprentice, you’ll support our quality technical team in managing laboratory systems, data analysis, and improvements that underpin our commitment to excellence. You won’t just sit at a desk—you’ll be hands-on in the field, working with materials like concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
No two days are the same! From maintaining and developing data systems to travelling between sites to collect materials for testing, this is a dynamic role where your curiosity and attention to detail will shine.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
🔹 Supporting the development and maintenance of Holcim’s laboratory data systems
🔹 Creating insightful data reports that drive key decision-making
🔹 Analysing data sets using Excel, Google Sheets, and other platforms
🔹 Identifying trends to support quality improvement initiatives
🔹 Helping define data quality metrics and improving data flow
🔹 Working closely with various stakeholders to meet business needs
🔹 Assisting in the testing of construction materials (e.g., concrete, aggregates)
🔹 Travelling to and from sites to collect test samples
🔹 Bringing new technologies into testing processes
🔹 Supporting the Technical Data Support Manager in strategic activities
How the Apprenticeship Programme Works
This 15-month Level 3 Data Driven Professional Apprenticeship gives you the chance to earn while you learn! You’ll spend at least 6 hours a week on off-the-job learning. This could include:
Online modules
Mentorship and job shadowing
Theory-based training from our specialist training provider
Throughout your journey, you’ll receive mentorship from experienced professionals and tailored support to help you grow both technically and personally. You’ll develop analytical, technical, and communication skills that will shape a strong foundation for a long-term career.
