Specifically, this is a 12-month Maternity Cover contract located in Raunds, Northamptonshire (NN9 6RJ). In this hands-on role, you’ll be the go-to person for filming, editing, and creating thumb-stopping short-form videos. You’ll spot trends, pitch original ideas, and travel to our depots, showrooms, and live shoots to capture real stories that truly resonate with our audience. You won’t wait for instructions – rather, you’ll actively shape our social content strategy alongside a supportive team who love what they do.

What You’ll Be Doing 🎥

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Creating scroll-worthy short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
• Confidently filming and editing content using CapCut and Canva, always staying ahead of the latest social trends.
• Keeping our visual style fresh and relevant as various platforms evolve.
• Visiting depots, showrooms, and live shoots to film authentic, behind-the-scenes content.
• Collaborating with depot teams, customers, and other stakeholders to bring genuine stories to life.
• Designing static posts and impactful campaign visuals using Canva and Photoshop.
• Tracking trending audio, content formats, and viral styles — and then adapting them creatively for Howdens’ brand.
• Supporting influencer campaigns from initial outreach and briefing stages through production, timeline management, and final reporting.
• Leading PR activations for influencer content, ensuring alignment with wider Public Relations plans.

What You’ll Bring 💡

We’re looking for a passionate individual who possesses:

• Proven experience creating short-form content specifically for platforms like TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
• Confident editing skills using CapCut, Canva, and Photoshop.
• A strong understanding of each platform’s best practices and what genuinely drives user engagement.
• The ability to film and edit independently, demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
• A great communication style, enabling effective collaboration with creators, agencies, and internal teams.
• Experience managing influencer campaigns, PR content, and meeting strict deadlines.
• A strong grasp of content Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and insights for performance optimization.
• Being highly organized and adaptable — capable of juggling multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
