We’re looking for a motivated Multi Skilled Operative job Opportunity in the United Kingdom to join our Southampton team for night shifts. This is your chance to play a key role in keeping freight moving safely and efficiently across the UK and Europe!

Role Details

• Location: Dock Gate 10, Southampton
• Hours & Shift Pattern: This is a permanent, full-time role, requiring 50 hours per week. You’ll work rotating night shifts from 6 PM to 4 AM or 8 PM to 6 AM, Monday to Friday.

Your Impactful Role

As a Multi Skilled Operative, you’ll be right at the heart of our operations. You will efficiently load and unload HGVs using state-of-the-art lifting equipment, which ranges from 2.5 to 72 tonnes. Additionally, you’ll handle containers in the yard, operate TUG equipment, and support the terminal team to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Don’t have previous experience? No problem! We provide full training on our latest equipment, technology, and safety standards. Ultimately, all you need to bring is commitment and a strong work ethic to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles quickly and safely.
• Stacking and shunting shipping containers efficiently.
• Operating modern container handling equipment.
• Communicating effectively with the yard team to maintain accuracy and service quality.
• Furthermore, you will always uphold our award-winning health and safety culture.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who has:

• A full UK driving licence.
• A passion for teamwork and a safety-first attitude.
• It’s a definite plus (but not essential) if you have previous forklift or container yard experience.
