Key Responsibilities

As our Senior Network & Security Engineer, you’ll:

• Design and implement standards-based network infrastructure for our offices and backbone systems.
• Proactively test, monitor, and strengthen security systems and data protection.
• Embed a security-first model into all infrastructure, connectivity, and operations.
• Evaluate new products and technologies to enhance availability and reduce costs.
• Create robust documentation, including disaster recovery, troubleshooting, and deployment guides.
• Use automation to simplify and scale new technology rollouts.
• Prepare for and lead tech stack and security audits.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to help them grow and succeed.

Typical Activities

Your day-to-day work will involve:

• Managing VPNs, firewalls (Fortinet preferred), and various authentication systems (Okta, Radius, Kerberos, etc.).
• Designing and maintaining LAN, VLANs, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, routing, and ISP connections.
• Planning for capacity, disaster recovery, and roadmap execution.

Education & Experience

We are looking for someone with:

• A bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Strong, hands-on expertise with both Fortinet and Cisco products.
• Proven skills in network design, security, authentication, and access management.
• A deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, QoS, DNS/DHCP, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Experience with endpoint security, file integrity monitoring, and data loss prevention.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and forensic tools.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• The ability to work independently with a bias for action and a sense of urgency.
