Are you ready to launch your career in project delivery? Our Project Management Apprentice Job Opportunity in the United Kingdom offers the perfect entry point for aspiring Project Managers. This is a 2-year, full-time position that’s part of System C’s structured career pathway. Moreover, it includes a Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship and APM certification. You’ll gain hands-on experience by supporting our BadgerNet Maternity team as they deliver innovative digital maternity solutions to NHS clients, all while developing valuable skills in a structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

As our apprentice, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Project Managers and the Portfolio Manager with coordinating and administering project deliveries.
  • Preparing essential project documentation, such as project plans, risk registers, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Engaging with NHS Trust project teams and clinicians to gather requirements and maintain clear visibility on progress.
  • Managing timelines, resources, and task tracking with guidance from your mentor.
  • Contributing to workshops, client calls, and training sessions.
  • Shadowing experienced Project Managers and gradually taking on low-risk project components.
  • Maintaining project documentation in line with all governance standards.
  • Committing to all apprenticeship programme requirements, including workshops, coursework, and assessments.

What You’ll Need

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • GCSEs (including English and Maths) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Eligibility for a Level 4 Project Management apprenticeship, meaning you do not have prior equivalent qualifications.
  • A strong interest in digital transformation, technology, or healthcare.
  • Good organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • A proactive, curious, and team-oriented mindset.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office: Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams is a plus.
  • Awareness of project administration: Knowledge of project delivery or administration from studies, work, or volunteering is helpful.

 

Apprenticeship Details

  • Qualification: You’ll earn a Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship with APM certification.
  • Duration: The program lasts between 18–24 months.
  • Training: System C and an approved learning provider will deliver your training.
  • Support: You’ll receive regular mentoring and performance reviews throughout the programme.
