Key Responsibilities
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll play a critical role in expanding our client base and strengthening relationships across the retail insurance landscape. Here’s how you’ll make your mark:
- Lead Generation & Client Acquisition
You’ll actively pursue new business leads and convert them into long-term clients. Your sharp eye for opportunity and confident approach will help you exceed set targets. - Client Relationship Management
Maintain and grow existing accounts, offering a personal touch that shows clients they’re truly valued. You’ll know what they need before they do! - Networking & Industry Engagement
Attend industry trade shows, expos, AGMs, and networking events. You’ll be the face of Gallagher, confidently representing our services and values to the wider market. - Strategic Upselling
Understand our wide suite of products and services, and spot the perfect moment to offer more value to clients – growing our accounts while solving customer problems. - Negotiation & Collaboration
Use your excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive terms with underwriters and insurers while collaborating closely with internal teams. - Professional Representation
Present Gallagher as a professional, forward-thinking, and trustworthy partner in every conversation. You’re not just selling a policy – you’re building a legacy of trust.
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone with experience in insurance or a strong sales/business development background in a regulated environment.
Here’s what will set you apart:
- A proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of the UK insurance sector and/or commercial sales landscape
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – you love talking to people!
- Confidence in managing your own pipeline and generating leads autonomously
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, and self-motivation
- Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to travel when required
