💼 About the Role

This Apprentice Marketing Executive position is a golden opportunity for someone who’s either fresh to the field or has up to 12 months of marketing experience. You’ll gain hands-on experience while studying toward a recognised CIM qualification—earning and learning all at once!

You’ll be directly involved in promoting conferences and events, from helping design marketing campaigns to managing social content and supporting email marketing efforts. This is a structured learning role where you’ll be mentored, trained, and supported by a collaborative and friendly team.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

You’ll work across several marketing channels and campaigns, building a broad base of experience in the following areas:

Campaign Management

  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns to attract leads and boost event attendance.
  • Support content creation and ensure timely delivery across email and social platforms.

Partnerships & PR

  • Help secure media and industry partnerships that increase visibility and credibility.
  • Engage with collaborators and stakeholders to strengthen relationships.

Social Media Support

  • Contribute to managing social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram) with creative, on-brand content.
  • Monitor engagement and suggest ways to improve interaction and reach.

Email Marketing & Automation

  • Assist with scheduling email campaigns and learn how to use CRM and automation platforms.
  • Track open and click rates and learn how to analyse data for performance insights.

Website Content Updates

  • Keep event websites up to date with accurate content, speaker bios, and agenda information.
  • Maintain consistency with branding and messaging.

Data & Reporting

  • Support the development of reports post-campaign to understand what worked and what can improve.
  • Learn how to interpret basic marketing analytics and trends.

Contact Management

  • Help manage and segment contact databases for targeted outreach.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and best practices in email marketing.

 Who They’re Looking For

This role is ideal for a motivated individual at the start of their marketing journey. If you’re enthusiastic, organised, and have an interest in digital campaigns and sustainability—this is for you!

What You Bring to the Table:

  • No prior experience needed, but up to 1 year in marketing is welcomed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in event marketing, environmental causes, and content creation.
  • Highly organised and good at managing your own time.
  • Open to learning marketing tools and software.
  • Confident working with numbers and willing to explore analytics.
  • Comfortable collaborating in a team setting.

Academic Requirements:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (grade 4/C or above).
  • A degree in relevant fields (humanities, business, journalism, communications, marketing, etc.) is preferred but not essential.
