In this hybrid role, you will bridge the gap between deep editorial analysis and high-impact visual content. You will work within our London bureau while reporting to our global video team in New York, transforming expert commentary into compelling video stories that resonate across the EMEA region and beyond.
About the Role
As our next Opinion Video Producer, you will own the entire editorial process. This includes everything from initial pitching and scripting to directing shoots and managing post-production. You will act as a vital collaborator, communicating daily with our EMEA editors and columnists to ensure our coverage meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Specifically, your core mission involves:

Global Collaboration: Partnering closely with the New York and Hong Kong video teams to plan day-to-day content and long-term strategy.

Short-Form Mastery: Producing engaging videos for TikTok and YouTube Shorts that combine columnist expertise with your unique editing flair to reach new audiences.

Innovative Storytelling: Developing fresh ways to turn complex financial commentary into digestible explainers, voiceovers, and data-driven visuals.

Social Leadership: Guiding EMEA columnists on best practices for social video to ensure our content breaks through the noise.

Live Broadcasting: Producing interactive live streams and webinars from an online studio to broadcast across major digital platforms.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
We are looking for a candidate who possesses sharp news judgment and a “newsroom metabolism” that thrives under deadlines. Ideally, you should demonstrate:

Professional Experience: At least 2 years of video production experience within a news media environment.

Software Expertise: A minimum of 2 years using mobile editing tools like CapCut, alongside mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere and After Effects) and Canva.

Technical Skill: A proven track record of shooting high-quality footage on mirrorless or DSLR cameras.

Broadcasting Knowledge: Experience using live-streaming software such as StreamYard or Riverside to reach audiences on Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.

Platform Passion: A deep, native understanding of major social platforms gained through countless hours of creating and engaging with content.
