Indeed, Grupo Bimbo – New York Bakery is currently seeking a dedicated Hygiene Administrator to join our team at the Swinton Meadows Industrial Estate in Mexborough. Crucially, this role provides essential support to our hygiene department, ensuring that all administrative functions run smoothly while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Role Overview

  • Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per year

  • Location: Mexborough (S64 8AB)

  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (Standard hours are 9-5, though we can offer slight flexibility)

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Hygiene Administrator, you will manage a variety of technical and operational tasks. Specifically, your duties will include:

  • Documentation Control: You will maintain, review, and control Hygiene CICs, Risk Assessments, and all safety data sheets. Furthermore, you must ensure all cleaning matrixes and audit files remain accurate and current.

  • Compliance Monitoring: You will ensure that all hygiene checks and inspections happen within required timescales. Consequently, you will support compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and PPE requirements.

  • Audit Support: You will assist with the preparation for ISO 14001 audits and help maintain major retailer codes of practice and food safety standards.

  • Training Management: You will keep the hygiene training matrix fully updated. In addition, you will work closely with hygiene controllers to verify that all training records are accurate.

  • Stock & Inventory: You will maintain stock control for PPE, equipment, and chemicals. Therefore, you will use the Oracle system to monitor inventory, place orders, and track usage.

  • Financial & Supplier Liaison: You will record and manage department expenditure to support budget control. Also, you will coordinate with contractors for the repair and maintenance of hygiene equipment.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong administrative experience, preferably within a technical or hygiene-focused environment.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle complex documentation.

  • Proficiency in IT systems, with experience in Oracle being a distinct advantage.

  • A positive, collaborative attitude when working with internal teams and external suppliers.
