This is a 12–18 month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum. About the Role
In this position, you will take full ownership of supplier approvals and manage the creation and maintenance of specifications for both own-label and branded products. You will work across various web-based retailer systems to ensure every product meets the highest industry standards. Furthermore, you will oversee artwork sign-offs and manage critical allergen and nutritional data to ensure total regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will be vital to the success of our product launches. For instance, you will perform the following duties:

Specification Management: You will develop, review, and approve detailed specifications, including technical data and ingredients.

Compliance Oversight: You will guarantee the accuracy of allergen declarations, ingredient listings, and legal labeling requirements.

Launch Support: You will manage critical path activities and support product launches through shelf-life testing and QAS processes.

Supplier Liaison: You will act as a key contact for suppliers and manage the approval database, including VACCP and food defense checks.

System Management: You will own and manage the Hamilton Grant recipe and specification system.

Operational Accuracy: You will review artwork against specifications to ensure it meets both legal and customer-specific standards.

Audit Support: You will provide the necessary documentation for customer and third-party audits, such as BRC.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background. Ideally, you possess the following traits and qualifications:

Expertise: You have a solid understanding of food science, manufacturing processes, and packaging.

System Skills: You possess hands-on experience managing retailer specification systems.

Qualifications: You hold a Food Hygiene Level 3 certification (or higher).

Attention to Detail: You demonstrate excellent organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.

Communication: You are a confident communicator with strong literacy, numeracy, and Microsoft Office skills.

Project Management: You can handle multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
