Your Role as IT Manager

As our IT Manager, you will hold complete ownership of our internal IT systems. You will serve as the crucial bridge between the business and our external managed service providers (MSPs). A significant part of your role involves ensuring the seamless operation of core business platforms, including Deltek Vantagepoint (ERP), Salesforce (CRM), and Microsoft 365. You will also provide essential support to the Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation, helping to execute our digital strategy and drive continuous improvement across all technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Liaison: Act as the main point of contact between the business and our Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure effective, high-quality service delivery.
• System Oversight: Oversee and maintain the performance and uptime of critical business systems, including Deltek Vantagepoint, Salesforce, and Microsoft 365.
• Support Management: Manage and resolve IT support escalations to guarantee smooth operations and minimize user downtime.
• Governance & Compliance: Maintain updated IT documentation, policies, and compliance records, especially relating to GDPR and cybersecurity.
• Vendor Performance: Collaborate actively with third-party vendors to ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met and improved upon.
• Security: Support and execute cybersecurity initiatives and robust data protection efforts.
• Procurement: Drive efficient IT procurement processes and manage technology vendor selection.
• System Alignment: Oversee ERP, CRM, and SaaS systems, ensuring they are configured and utilized to align perfectly with overarching business goals.
• Innovation: Identify clear opportunities for process automation and broader digital innovation within the business.
• Strategy: Contribute actively to the development of the IT roadmap and ensure strategic business alignment.

Skills & Knowledge Required

To excel in this role, you must possess a blend of strong technical acumen and leadership capabilities:

• Cloud Expertise: Strong expertise in cloud environments, particularly Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Governance & Security: A solid understanding of IT governance frameworks, cybersecurity best practices, and data protection principles.
• Vendor Management: Proven experience in vendor management, contract oversight, and performance monitoring.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, enabling effective dialogue with both technical experts and non-technical business stakeholders.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and precise documentation abilities.
• Coordination: The ability to effectively coordinate third-party vendors and manage multiple competing priorities under pressure.
