Role Overview

As a Graduate Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting either the Commercial, Marketing, or Corporate functions. Your main responsibility will be delivering accurate and timely monthly financial reporting, preparing business metrics, and presenting the insights that support strategic decisions for the company.

What You’ll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Financial Reporting: You will prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reports and metrics. 📊
• Variance Analysis: You will reconcile monthly earnings and provide a detailed variance analysis to the US headquarters in Houston.
• Strategic Insights: You will attend monthly earnings calls and share your insights with senior leaders.
• Market Analysis: You will gather market information to help explain performance results.
• System Expertise: You will gain expertise in Phillips 66’s in-house IT systems through dedicated training and by shadowing colleagues. 💻
• Data Management: You will load monthly data into the Financial Reporting and Planning (FRAP) database.
• Cost Analysis: You will analyze controllable and secondary costs to support overall business performance.
• Process Improvement: You will collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements. 🤝
• Skill Development: You will participate in in-house training courses to build your professional skills.
• Project Support: You will support ad-hoc projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a candidate who has:

• The legal right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis (or the ability to meet our sponsorship criteria).
• A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. 🎓
• Strong IT knowledge, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A detail-oriented approach with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• A motivated and proactive self-starter who is confident to work independently.
