About the Role
As an Operations Performance Support, you’ll play a vital role in backing the Operations Performance Leader (OPL) and their team. Your daily responsibilities will involve planning, scheduling performance reviews, managing essential reports, coordinating managerial absence and annual leave, and providing key day-to-day administrative and operational support. Ultimately, you’ll help ensure smooth delivery operations across the board.
What You’ll Do
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the Managerial Resourcing Tool (MRT) to accurately track staffing plans.
- Managing the PSP HR system for absences, TOIL (Time Off In Lieu), substitution payments, and other related tasks.
- Organizing crucial performance coaching sessions, handling room bookings, preparing slide decks, and coordinating reviews.
- Overseeing annual leave allocation across teams, ensuring full compliance with company policy.
- Supporting the OPL with diary management, travel requests, and internal communications.
- Providing essential administrative support for grievance, conduct, and attendance cases.
- Coordinating equipment orders and ensuring compliance with Royal Mail systems.
- You will also travel occasionally within the Portsmouth area to support team operations.
About You
You’re organized, proactive, and truly enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll bring:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- The ability to manage sensitive data with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to travel within the region when needed.
- Knowledge of Royal Mail systems and processes is a plus, though not strictly required.
