Role Overview

• Location: Hybrid – ellenor Hospice, Gravesend DA11 7HQ
• Type: Full-Time | Hours: 37.5/Week
• Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term
• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (Based on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Data Scientist, you’ll play a crucial role in turning complex data into actionable insights that inform strategy, improve our services, and guide decision-making at all levels. Specifically, you will work closely with both internal teams and external partners. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Collecting and analyzing data to identify important trends and gaps.
• Designing and building clear dashboards and reports for data visualization.
• Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all our systems.
• Collaborating across departments to meet data needs and drive efficiency.
• Automating recurring reports and translating insights into clear, digestible findings.
• Presenting complex analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in data analysis, architecture, or project management.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in tools like SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau.
• The ability to analyze, model, and present data clearly and effectively.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a healthcare setting or presenting at conferences is a plus.
• A compassionate, detail-oriented, and respectful approach to working in a hospice environment.
