About the Role

QinetiQ is looking for a skilled professional to join our team, based in Bristol/Corsham. This permanent, full-time role offers you the chance to work with cutting-edge defence and security technology while collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

You will provide expert insights into cyber vulnerabilities, risk exposure, audit & compliance, and operational security threats. Specifically, you will focus on supporting clients within the Defence Sector.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cyber Security Risk Consultant, you will:

• Risk Modeling: Build and maintain comprehensive business risk models using established frameworks, such as NIST and UK Government standards.

• Security Audits: Conduct rigorous cyber security audits aligned with ISO27001 and other recognized industry standards.

• Vulnerability Assessment: Perform detailed vulnerability assessments. You will evaluate organizational maturity and risk exposure using NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and related frameworks.

• Mitigation: Identify and recommend tailored cyber risk mitigations for clients.

• Risk Cases: Support the creation of robust cyber security risk cases for both business and operational environments.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

We require a candidate who brings:

• Experience: 2–3+ years of experience in cyber security vulnerability, risk assessment, audit & compliance.

• Proficiency: You must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Framework Knowledge: A strong understanding of NIST, ISO27001, and MITRE ATT&CK is essential.

• Application Skills: The ability to apply these frameworks effectively in real-world operational scenarios.

Job Details & Perks

• Working Model: Hybrid working is available (37 hours/week). However, travel to client sites may be required occasionally.
