What You’ll Do:
As a Lidl Customer Assistant, you’ll wear many hats throughout your shift. Your tasks will vary, but your impact will be felt by everyone who walks through our doors. Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:
🧺 Provide Fantastic Customer Service
- Greet customers with a warm smile and help them find what they need.
- Answer questions and deal with requests quickly and helpfully.
- Keep queues moving and deliver a positive shopping experience.
📦 Handle Deliveries & Stock
- Unpack deliveries efficiently and get products out on the shop floor.
- Restock shelves and check for product freshness and quality.
- Ensure everything is clean, tidy and well-organised.
🥖 Bake & Display Fresh Goods
- Keep our bakery topped up by baking delicious bread and pastries.
- Follow processes to ensure freshness, hygiene and safety.
- Tempt customers with well-displayed bakery products.
🛍️ Merchandise the Middle Aisle
- Help set up and maintain our popular “Middle of Lidl” Non-Food section.
- Follow merchandising guidelines to showcase products effectively.
- Keep the area safe, neat and attractive.
What You’ll Need:
We’re looking for people who bring energy, reliability and a can-do attitude. Experience in a retail or fast-paced environment helps, but it’s not essential – if you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll give you the support to succeed.

Competitive Pay
- £12.75 to £13.65 per hour, depending on location and experience
- £2.00 per hour extra for bank holidays
- £3.50 per hour extra for night shifts
