Your Role as a Business Data Analyst

As a Business Data Analyst reporting directly to the Head of Data Insight and Automation, you will play a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decisions across the organization. Your core responsibilities will encompass:

• Efficiently managing ad hoc data queries and expertly overseeing day-to-day data requests utilizing SQL and Power BI.
• Creating and delivering accurate, insightful, and actionable business reports tailored for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Actively engaging with various teams across the business to thoroughly understand their specific data needs and proactively identify opportunities to improve existing reporting processes.
• Supporting in-depth data analysis and investigations to rigorously ensure data consistency, accuracy, and overall reliability.
• Please note that this is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2–3 days per week to be spent at our Staines office (specifically on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the initial training period).

What We’re Looking For in a Candidate

To excel in this role, you will ideally possess:

• Proven experience working within a data-focused team environment, demonstrating your understanding of data workflows and best practices.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying, coupled with demonstrable expertise in utilizing Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• A meticulous and detail-oriented mindset, complemented by a logical and analytical approach to problem-solving and data interpretation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
• Prior knowledge of the asset finance industry or experience working within a regulated industry would be considered a valuable bonus.
