About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Leadership: Establish and lead the dedicated Cloud Platform Team to support WRITER’s rapidly growing AI ecosystem.
• Multi-Cloud Architecture: Architect and implement scalable, secure, and reliable multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure regions.
• System Design: Design highly scalable and secure distributed systems optimized for demanding multi-tenant workloads.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive implementation of IaC best practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Security & Compliance: Drive tenant isolation and ensure robust data protection and compliance across various geographical regions.
• Automation: Build end-to-end automation for environment lifecycle management across development, QA, and demo environments.
• High Availability: Develop advanced cross-region capabilities and implement active-active deployment strategies for maximum uptime and resilience.
• Collaboration: Partner with development teams to effectively address complex tenant and performance requirements.
• Optimization: Continuously optimize infrastructure performance, managing both cost and long-term scalability.
• Mentorship: Play a key role in mentoring and developing a world-class cloud engineering team.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a seasoned engineer ready for a high-impact, leadership-focused role:

• Experience: 8+ years of proven experience in Cloud Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
• Leadership: 3+ years of demonstrated experience leading and guiding engineering teams.
• Cloud Expertise: Deep expertise in one or more major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure), with multi-cloud experience strongly preferred.
• Programming: Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Go, or similar, for automation and development tasks.
• Containerization: Strong, hands-on understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and general container orchestration technologies.
• Architectural Knowledge: Direct experience with designing and implementing multi-tenant architectures and robust cross-region deployments.
• IaC Mastery: Hands-on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and leadership skills necessary for collaborating effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
