Dr. Hala EL Ouarrak is an AI and supply chain expert with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of operational excellence, data science, and logistics. She has led initiatives in both the academic and corporate sectors, focusing on AI-enabled process reengineering and continuous improvement.
Currently serving as Manager of Airports Operational Excellence at Porter Airlines, Dr. EL Ouarrak drives transformation initiatives across ground operations. She is also the founder of HEPMAC, a learning and consulting firm dedicated to helping professionals harness AI for supply chain optimization. Her workshops and seminars, delivered to audiences across North America blend practical industry tools with the latest in machine learning and GPT-powered automation.
Dr. EL Ouarrak holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Automatic Control Engineering and a Master’s in Industrial and Logistics Engineering. She also serves as Director of
Education for the ASCM Toronto Chapter, where she leads professional development programming.
