A conference presenting and providing the opportunity to engage with AI and technologies to support the health/social care of older people.

The focus of the workshop will be on AI and technologies to support the health and social care of older people.

Artificial intelligence (AI) and technologies are revolutionising health and social care for older people and can help predict health risks and events. More importantly AI and technologies can support the personalisation of care and support for older people to live independently within their community.

The aim of our workshop is to introduce and discussion AI and technologies to support and health and social care of older people, with presentations, discussions, and hopefully ‘hands on’ experiences of a range of AI and technologies.

Currently presentations include:

  • an overview of AI support for people with dementia
  • Facial Action Coding System to identify pain in people with dementia
  • Digital platform to support symptoms assessment and management for people with multiple long-term illnesses

Hands-on technology experiences include:

  • VR
  • Virtual reality
