This is your chance to work with a deep-tech company that is currently revolutionizing the industry. We use proprietary, triple-patented fermentation technology to create the next generation of meat alternatives, and we want you on our team.
About Adamo Foods
Adamo Foods is not your average startup. Indeed, we were recently ranked #20 in the Startups 100 index for the UK’s best new businesses. We develop ultra-realistic whole-cut products, such as our mycelium-based filet, which has received rave reviews from over 90% of external tasters. Furthermore, as we scale up to commercial production and sales, you will be part of a team that has already secured interest from major food distributors and top-tier restaurants.

Shelf Life Protocols: Own and optimize our shelf life protocols. Consequently, you will ensure product quality, safety, and consistency throughout its life.
-
Facility Maintenance: Assist in the daily lab or pilot production and maintain our brand-new facility in Nottingham.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the fermentation team to support our specialized production processes.

-
Education: You are currently pursuing a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering. You should be on track for at least a 2.1 grade or have equivalent experience.
-
Mindset: You are a proactive, positive individual with a “can-do” attitude.
-
Teamwork: You are a team player who enjoys working across different business functions to achieve common goals.
-
Communication: You possess great communication skills and can articulate technical findings in concise reports and presentations.
-
Tech Savvy: You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
-
Passion: You have a genuine passion for food, the plant-based industry, and environmental sustainability.
-
Eligibility: You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot sponsor visas for this placement.
Perks and Benefits
We believe in rewarding hard work and fostering a great culture. As a result, you will enjoy:
-
Competitive Salary: Up to £23K for the placement year.
-
Work Flexibility: We offer flexible working arrangements to support your balance.
-
Team Culture: Enjoy regular team socials, away days, and (of course) frequent product tastings.
Diversity and Inclusion
Adamo Foods is an equal opportunity employer. Crucially, we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment. We welcome all applicants regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or age.
