Job Overview

• Role: Data Analyst

• Location: Old Trafford, Manchester (Hybrid)

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:45 AM – 5:15 PM

• Salary: £35,000 OTE

PHMG is entering an exciting new phase, modernising its data infrastructure and enhancing the way teams use insights to deliver maximum value. As a result, we are strategically expanding our Reporting & Insights team to extract the greatest possible value from our growing data ecosystem.

Furthermore, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating BI dashboards, mastering SQL and Power BI, and supporting stakeholders with clear, data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst, your duties will span technical development, project management, and business impact:

Technical Excellence

• Build and maintain BI dashboards and analytical reports using SQL and Power BI.

• Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple internal sources.

• Apply best practices in modelling, visualisation, and performance optimisation.

• Contribute to documentation and quality standards within the Reporting & Insights team.

Scope & Autonomy

• Manage report development tasks efficiently with clear deadlines.

• Deliver high-quality outputs that align perfectly with agreed specifications.

• Escalate data challenges or scope changes promptly when needed.

Business Impact

• Deliver accurate, insightful reporting to support strategic decisions across PHMG.

• Identify key trends, potential risks, and improvement opportunities within the data.

• Assist senior analysts in shaping robust departmental reporting structures.

Collaboration

• Gather thorough requirements from stakeholders before designing new dashboards.

• Work closely with peers to maintain reporting consistency.

• Communicate progress effectively and clearly with the Reporting Team Lead.

Innovation & Growth

• Stay updated with emerging BI tools and data techniques.

• Suggest improvements to reporting processes and visual standards.

• Seek feedback and continuously refine outputs to ensure quality.

Communication & Influence

• Present insights clearly and concisely in visual and written forms.

• Translate complex technical findings into simple, actionable business language.

• Contribute actively to discussions on performance and process optimisation.

Governance & Quality

• Maintain documentation, version control, and high data quality standards.

• Ensure all reports meet strict accuracy and governance criteria.
