Role Details

• Location: We offer flexible hybrid working across our offices in Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland), and Cambridge.
• Contract: This is an 18-month Fixed Term contract.
• Qualification Earned: Successfully complete a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship, a nationally recognized qualification.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll join our dedicated Analytics team and gain practical, hands-on experience analyzing heritage-related data. You’ll master tools like GIS, various databases, and cutting-edge data visualization platforms. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with colleagues to meticulously source, clean, and analyze diverse datasets.
• Creating impactful reports, dynamic dashboards, and insightful visual maps to directly support strategic decision-making.
• Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure data insights are effectively shared and utilized.
• Exploring the crucial ethical and regulatory aspects of working with sensitive data.
• Building a comprehensive Portfolio of Evidence that showcases your development and achievements throughout the apprenticeship.

Significantly, you’ll spend approximately 80% of your time gaining practical, on-the-job learning. Conversely, the remaining 20% will involve completing structured training with expert tutors through engaging online lectures and tutorials, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.

• Identify and precisely source quality datasets for various projects. 📊
• Effectively use Microsoft Excel, Word, and specialized data cleansing tools.

• Maintain accurate and secure data records, upholding data integrity.
• Communicate your complex findings clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
• Apply foundational knowledge in archaeology, architecture, and landscape history, linking data to heritage.
