About the Role:
As a Technical Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of our Wastewater Operations Team—working closely with Field Performance Managers and skilled technicians ranging from mechanical and electrical to ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation).
This field-based role is focused on the delivery of essential maintenance work, project coordination, and ensuring all legal, operational, and safety requirements are met. You’ll oversee both internal teams and external contractors, ensuring high plant availability and service quality—all within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
🛠️ Maintenance & Operations Support
- Manage complex job requirements in SAP, including materials, permits, and resource scheduling.
- Plan and execute both reactive and planned maintenance work.
- Optimise treatment process performance and ensure plant equipment is operational.
📊 Risk Management & Reporting
- Identify operational risks and present findings to secure funding and improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of tasks, equipment history, and operational dependencies.
🤝 Stakeholder & Contractor Collaboration
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.
- Order materials and third-party services through framework agreements.
- Review RAMS, approve permits, and perform site audits to ensure Health & Safety compliance.
🎓 Technical Leadership
- Use your expertise to provide solutions to technical challenges.
- Ensure compliance with statutory maintenance regulations (e.g. generators, lifting equipment, pressure vessels).
✅ What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Knowledge
- Mechanical & Electrical or ICA background within Water/Wastewater Treatment or similar industries.
- Proven technical expertise and ability to maintain complex assets.
Skills & Qualities
- Logical thinker with an eye for detail and task dependencies.
- Able to multitask and manage parallel jobs effectively.
- Strong communication, documentation, and IT skills (especially SAP).
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements in utility environments.
- Full UK Driving Licence – this is an essential field-based role (vehicle provided).
