About the Job:

Role: Electrical Specialist

Type: Permanent Full-Time

An experienced Electrical Expert is needed by the “Civil & Electrical Engineering” team in the “Wind Turbine, Quality, Civil & Electrical Engineering” Department. For wind, solar, and storage projects, the role entails optimizing the electrical Balance of Plant (eBoP), which includes parts like HV/MV transformers, switchgear, and cables, as well as design (including GCC) at the project and portfolio levels. Among the duties are (a) improving design standards, guidelines, and specifications; (b) carrying out strategic analyses and assessments; and (c) providing assistance for real projects. Throughout the whole project lifetime, the position necessitates offering technical expertise as a recognized authority for challenging and crucial business-critical engineering activities.

**Your Assignments:**

**Operational Support:** – Offer 2nd and 3rd level support for special eBoP wind, solar, and storage projects, serving as a technical consultant and expert at every stage of the value chain, including RCA.

– Provide centralized assistance for running assets.
– Verify adherence to local electrical standards and conventions.
– Offer technical know-how on PQ abilities, control logic, and key protective components.

**Evaluation and Assessment:**

Oversee and coordinate the prequalification of electrical components (such as eBoP, turbines, and PV), which include developing assessment criteria, evaluating supplier input, and closely examining risks and performance.
– Take an active part in technical due diligence for joint ventures (M&A, for example).
– Assist with framework and cross-regional tenders, including the negotiation and procurement procedures for projects involving the eBoP.

**Enhancement:**

At the component, system, and process levels, identify and implement eBoP-related technical optimization opportunities while evaluating their effects on RES assets including LCOE, hazards, and value.
Promote standardization and modularization while creating “pre-designs” for projects or areas that work well together.
To facilitate component and system optimization procedures, revise and enhance internal policies, standards, and specifications.

**Your Profile:**

– A degree from an institution in electrical engineering or a similar discipline.
– Demonstrated aptitude for root cause analysis and defect detection.
– Knowledge of power quality monitors, event recorders, and protective relays.
– Preferably with experience in asset management, encompassing design enhancements and operating techniques.
– Strong comprehension of how engineering decisions affect the bottom line and a proven track record of leveraging technical expertise to provide value to the business.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, including the capacity to bargain with outside stakeholders and interact with management in an efficient manner.
– Outstanding integration and teamwork abilities.
– Intercultural awareness, high levels of participation, and social competence.
– High standards of moral conduct to preserve RWE Renewables’ standing and dedication to its core principles and code of conduct.
– The ability to travel both locally and abroad.
– English fluent.
